§ 10.04.050. Notice—Posting.

A.

Except as provided in section 10.04.040 with regard to the immediate removal of hazardous vehicles, whenever a vehicle is found abandoned in the same position for a period of twenty-four hours, the city manager shall provide notice prior to removing the abandoned vehicle and placing it in custody.

B.

Notice under this section and Section 10.04.040 shall be given by both of the following methods:

1.

By affixing a citation to the vehicle with the required information;

2.

By mailing notice, at least five days before taking the vehicle into custody, with the required information to the owner(s), any lessor(s), and any security interest holder(s) at the address of each as shown by the records of the division.
